System Requirements

Before jumping into node setup, it’s essential to ensure your hardware and network setup meets the baseline requirements. Unlike traditional blockchains that demand high-end GPUs or ASICs, UAX nodes are designed to be efficient yet reliable. But “lightweight” doesn’t mean “any setup will do.”

Here’s what you need to get started:

Minimum Requirements

• Processor: Quad-core CPU (Intel i5/Ryzen 5 or above)

• Memory: 8GB RAM minimum

• Storage: 100GB SSD (recommended over HDD for performance)

• Bandwidth: Stable internet connection capable of continuous upstream/downstream

• Uptime: 24/7 availability preferred; a dynamic IP is acceptable with DDNS

• OS Compatibility: Linux (Ubuntu 20.04+) and Windows 10/11 and Mac OS supported

This setup ensures that your machine can stay connected, sync accurately, and participate in the share submission process reliably.

If your system can’t maintain uptime or consistent share validation, you won’t be eligible for rewards—so treat these requirements as non-negotiable. For best performance, VPS or dedicated cloud instances may also be used.
